Ready Player One

As expected Ready Player One opened in the number one spot this weekend with over 41 mils this weekend, and 53 million over the course of the full holiday weekend. I personally went to see the movie three times, and I'm sure a lot of people went multiple times just so they could try to spot as many pop culture references as they can. Next weekend might be filled with more people going Easter egg hunting in Ready Player One.

Tyler Perry's Acrimony

It never fails. no matter how bad his movies are Tyler Perry always finishes around the top 3. Tyler Perry's Acrimony doubted at the number 2 spot, which I'm sure Perry is happy with those results. The movie was pretty crappy I only liked it because it was so bad it was funny, but as long as a movie has his name in front his loyal fan base will go out in droves to see it.

Black Panther

Another weekend and another weekend with Black Panther in the top 3. Feels like forever when this movie came out, but yet it's proving that it has probably some of the strongest legs we have seen in a while. It might just stay in the Top 5 until it eventually leaves theaters soon

Pacific Rim: Uprising

Sad to say that Pacific Rim has to be a downer this weekend again. Although it's still in the top five, Barely, it fell dramatically in only its second weekend. Some may have to do with the new films coming out, but most likely because not too many people liked it, Well at least in the US.

Gods Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness

Faith-based movies over the last couple of weeks have been doing great numbers in their opening weekends, I Can Only Imagine is still in the top 5 in its 3rd weekend, but Gods Not Dead 3 is finding out its a little harder than it looks. Not even cracking the top 5 this weekend making only 2 mil is not very good for this sequel to a film franchise that pretty much started the Faith-Based money machines. Guess they'll have to prey their second weekend will be better.
