The Book Club (2018) - Movie Review

Image
"A movie revolving around the Fifty Shades of Grey series brings back nightmares from the movies, God I hope this movie not as bad. Book Club is the directorial debut of Bill Holderman and stars Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen as four best friends who have gathered together once a month for forty years to discuss the latest books as a part of their book club. But when the gang decided to read fifty shades of grey they realize that they have been missing out in there sex lives. For his directorial debut, Holderman couldn't ask for a better cast with these four ladies having multiple awards between them including some academy awards. But with this big time cast, comes big-time expectations, so Holderman is under a lot of pressure to deliver a great comedy. Did he manage to pull it off with a good high of a movie, or did he manage to waste all this talent and give us a downer? Highs   The Chemistry Between the B...

Breaking In - Movie Review

"What better movie to release mothers Day Weekend, than a movie about a mother fighting for her kids" Breaking In is the latest thriller directed by James McTeigue and stars Gabrielle Union as Shaun Russel,  a mother of two who ventures out to her dead father's Malibu mansion to settle the legal work for his estate. but once they arrive they, they discover that a group of criminals are after something that her father has been hiding and will do anything to get their hands on it. Now with her kids being held hostage, Shaun becomes desperate and decided to fight back to get her kids back. what better time to release a movie about a mother fighting for her kids than mothers day. The studios know that they will get the gabby fans and the mothers out to see this movie no matter what, but is this movie worth us stoners and other movie lover time to check out? Highs  Gabrielle Union I think Gabrielle Union is a pretty good actress who normally puts forth ...

Life of the Party- Movie Review

Image
"Ughh maybe Melissa should have stuck with the fat jokes" Life of the party directed by Ben Falcone and stars his wife Melissa McCarthy as Deanna Miles who recently gets a divorce from her husband and decides to go back to school and get the degree she regretted not getting many years ago, while also getting to experience all the fun of being a college kid again. This movie to me has McCarthy written all over it. I haven't been a fan of her latest films and kinda stared to get fatigue from her movies cause she does the same shit over and over again, But I try to blaze and go into every movie with a fresh and open mind hoping to be surprised. Anna Faris is kind of a hit or miss like McCarthy to me and I liked her last movie overboard. So can McCarthy make Life of the Part a surprise hit or will this movie be the same old stuff we are getting tired of seeing? Highs McCarthy  Melissa McCarthy is one of those actresses that tends to stick to her same ro...

Bad Samaritan - Movie Review

Image
"David Tennant playing a crazy person fits him well, hopefully, he could save this movie" Bad Samaritan is directed by Dane Devlin and stars Robert Sheehan as a poor Valet Driver named Sean who works for a restaurant who uses the customer's cars to return to their homes and steal their stuff. He one-day encounters a smug rich asshole named Cale, played by David Tennant, and sees this as the perfect score until he arrives at his house and sees that he has a woman chained up. Not knowing what to do, Sean must try to help the woman, while also having to avoid the crazy plans Cale has in store. The movie premise sound pretty decent and David Tennant has that crazy look down, so figured this could be an entertaining thriller to get stoned to watch. But did this movie deliver, or was Bad Samaritan just another bad movie? Highs  Good Start  I was quite intrigued going into this movie. The premise seemed decent and Danny Tennant plays cra...
